On some machines - primarily the ones using open source graphics drivers - Steam may start up and report a much lower version of OpenGL enabled than is actually supported by your hardware. We'll deal with that in the next section :) The error may also show up on machines with Nvidia or AMD graphics cards however (depending on driver version etc). On machines with Intel HD Graphics however it is not and starts in OpenGL 3.0 mode by default. Seta r_resolutionscale_numframesbeforeraising "30"Īfter that the game may work for you - if Steam is enabled using OpenGL 3.1 or higher. Am playing 1920x1200.! It's well worth the price.Seta r_resolutionscale_fixedscale "1.000000" Thanks for answering.I have the Enhanced CD DOS version of the game with a couple of mods that add mouselook, bindable keys, etc.-and it runs like a champ under Win10圆4 1024x768.I'm running it under 64-bit dosbox SVN-daum with shader support-and it runs splendidly under Win10圆4 1024x768.ĭos the GOG version run higher resolutions? If not, I don't much see the sense of the "wrapper" business as that's just another mod in itself. You could try to get it to work through Winde, it's supposed to work according to people who tried it, but don't take my word for it. This means it's not running through DOSBox, but natively on Windows and Windows only. The enhanced edition is the DOS version in a compatibility wrapper for Windows, plus enhancements. Or wait for SSP to be made into a standalone patch. Classic is the original DOS release, it has none of the improvements, but you could try to get the mods that were used for SSP to work with it. HiPhish: Since this was not properly answered: You get the enhance edition and the classic edition.
